| What to expect on your first visit: |
| Your initial consultation will usually be approximately 45 minutes, with your chiropractor going through a detailed history and physical examination in order to determine the areas of your body where treatment will be focussed. Depending on your specific case, a referral for x-rays may also be arranged, in order to gain a better understanding of what is going on in your body, and to optimise your treatment plan. After completing a full assessment, your chiropractor will discuss the findings of your physical exam and with your consent, commence treatment. What to expect on follow-up visits: Follow-up visits are generally 15 minutes, with extended appointments of 30 minutes booked for those requiring or requesting acupuncture or soft tissue therapies. A standard appointment usually involves questioning about how your body has been functioning since your last appointment and gathering any new information, followed by your spinal adjustment and any other therapy/rehabilitation exercises that have been discussed as part of your treatment programme. Appointment schedules: Your appointments are scheduled to enable you to optimise your health. Please be sure to make up any appointments you have to miss. Should you be unable to make your appointment, we would appreciate as much notice as possible in order to enable others to use this time. Following is an outline of the privacy policy of our practice: Central City Chiropractic Clinic only collects information from our patients that is necessary to properly diagnose and treat their condition, and to follow up on their recovery. Central City Chiropractic Clinic aims to ensure that any information we hold is accurate, complete, and up to date. The health information Central City Chiropractic Clinic holds helps to provide our patients with the best possible health care, and is normally disclosed only to other health care practitioners - such as the patient's doctor - involved in their treatment (or where disclosure is required by law). If Central City Chiropractic Clinic needs to disclose information about a patient to people other than those associated with their treatment, we will seek the patient's permission first. Central City Chiropractic Clinic has systems in place to protect the security of your health records. Your personal information will be kept secure at all times and is protected from misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Nobody other than Central City Chiropractic Clinic staff has access to those records. In line with normal business procedures, Central City Chiropractic Clinic maintains contact lists and mailing lists of people with whom they do business or wish to contact from time to time. Should you wish not to be part of their contact lists, please let their staff know. You have a right to access the information Central City Chiropractic Clinic holds on you at any time and to seek correction of that information if it is incorrect.
